This is how you do lovecraftian/eldrich horror! The way you are the 'operator' that hears descriptions of the things the team is seeing is so chillingly well done. Don't worry though, plenty of absolutely terrifying things happen to you in the control and adjacent rooms. I can't count how many times I had to work up the courage to turn around or walk through a doorway. It was sooo well done with only one-ish jump...
