Turns out if you remove the gacha monetization and turn it into a single player game with the addictive combat loop, you end up getting a really good game.

I picked this up because the combat looked good, but the story behind the game ended up being another reason to support it. DragonSword originally existed as a gacha game published by Webzen. After the publishing relationship collapsed, Hound13 went through a legal fight over the game, won, and brought it back as a proper paid release without the gacha systems.
