I thought I had found a hidden gem, but no. I played it on release day without knowing, which explains why so few reviews! Can't call it a hidden gem if it just came out. "Horror" and "walking simulator" are probably the most useful points of reference, though there is less walking than usual. I really wanted to like this following the demo, but most of what I enjoyed fell away as I realized just how tightly I was being railroaded. It's a walking simulator, and the majority of the time is looking around for the object that arbitrarily progresses the plot. This is how you do lovecraftian/eldrich horror! The way you are the 'operator' that hears descriptions of the things the team is seeing is so chillingly well done. Don't worry though, plenty of absolutely terrifying things happen to you in the control and adjacent rooms. I can't count how many times I had to work up the courage to turn around or walk through a doorway. It was sooo well done with only one-ish jump...
