ABOUT
The value desk for Steam.
Steam Bangers scores every game on Steam for one thing: how much real game you get for your money. One number, 0 to 100. The Bang Score.
It weighs what you actually get for the price: how long a game is against what it costs, the review scores, and how players engage with it. Cheap, long, and well-reviewed scores high. Overpriced, short, or poorly reviewed scores low. A great game at a steep price-per-hour is still only "worth it", not a banger. That part is on purpose.
The exact formula is ours, and it stays that way. The data behind it does not: it comes from Steam (price, reviews, achievement stats), SteamSpy (ownership estimates), and HowLongToBeat (how long a game takes to beat).
What it does not do
- Not affiliated with Valve or Steam.
- Value is estimated from the current price, not what you paid.
- No login, no tracking of your library, no personal-purchase data.
- Games without enough reviews are not scored, better a gap than a guess.
