The value story
It has never been cheaper than $3.99. That was November 2024. Its cuts run 75 percent off as a rule. There have been 66 in the 7 years tracked, about 5 weeks apart.
Against its own genre it lands in the top 1 percent on value. It is pricier than 92 percent of its genre, and better reviewed than 96 percent. Among the games that feel like it, Cook, Serve, Delicious! ($12.99, scores 92) beats it on value, while it beats Party Club ($0.99, scores 32).
Critics scored it 79. Players sit 12 points higher at 91 percent, which usually means a game that plays better than it reviews.
Steam's global achievement data puts about 1 percent of players at this game's ending achievement. On a 46-hour game, the hours short of it still count in its price per hour. This site sampled 417 of its Steam-purchase reviews; 2 were written by buyers who refunded it, sampled from reviews written April 2020 to August 2026. Inside the two-hour refund window, 75 percent of the 284 reviews written there were positive, against 91 percent overall, and those are 16 percent of everything written about it.
It carries Valve's Deck Verified rating, which is the one that means it just works.

What players say
I love this game. It's silly, it's pretty, and it is a real test of pressing buttons good. For me, it helps with tension that builds up in my body too, which is an unexpected bonus. I played a bunch during Covid, which helped me process that stress, and then more recently picked it up again, and it still hits. 10/10 recommend for button press good people.
First of all, welcome to CSD. This is an immaculate trilogy. The game I actually recommend to you is CSD:R, but since it's not OUT yet, I'll allow you to play this one instead. This game is the best CSD to play while you wait for CSD:R. It has the perfected input system from CSD2 combined with the most interesting campaign. I have a softspot for the original campaign, but CSD is too outdated now that I've enjoyed...
Fun for beginner levels, but it gets really unintuitive when it comes to high point dishes, where the letter doesn't map the spelling of ingredient names, and that's when it became not fun anymore.
