Very enjoyable adventure game even today. Legacy one has SQ1 VGA edition. ScummVM makes it even better. 2 and 3 have free fan made remakes so don't have to play with text parser.

for the love of god never over write a save! you never know when you will need to go back to some point. I love Space quest but had to got all the way to the end of sp1 and needed to restart. got 3/4 through SP4 and then found out i needed a code i did not write down in the first 5 min of the game and had to start over. I love these games but they are a very good representation of the trauma 90s kids had to live...
If you're interested in the early days of point and click adventures, this is a great compilation. If you're bothered by frequent deaths, slow save/load functions, and obscure pixel hunting, best to stay away. Points deducted for the manual failing to include critical information needed to complete SQ6. Points added for the fact that the original SQ1 comes in both EGA and VGA versions.
