What players say
This game feels like it's having a midlife crisis at all times unless you play custom difficulty, and the movement feels good for the first 4 minutes of the game, but after that you get stuck on every tree, rock, and bump on the whole map unless you walk dead center of every street. The stealth in this game is way too punishing for doing simple things; you kill an enemy across the map, their friends investigate...

I've played the other Sniper Elite games, especially SE4, and I'm furious at how disappointing Sniper Elite 5 is. The predecessor wasn't perfect, but its core mechanics worked and rewarded patience, skill, and tactical thinking. SE5 feels like a frustrating downgrade disguised as an upgrade. Traversal is absurdly inconsistent. You can climb certain walls and ledges, yet somehow can't vault over fences or obstacles...
Bought this game because I wanted to become a professional sniper. Turns out I'm actually a professional bullet cameraman. Every shot: slow motion dramatic music X-ray skeleton testicles mysteriously explode At this point I'm not even fighting the Nazis. I'm conducting medical research. 10/10. Very educational.

About the game
