The value story
April 2023 is where it bottomed out, at $1.99. 15 discounts in the 7 years on record. They run about 45 percent off, roughly 12 weeks apart.
Value puts it in the top 5 percent of the games it competes with. It is pricier than 92 percent of its genre, and better reviewed than 87 percent. Among the games that feel like it, Nidhogg ($9.99, scores 76) beats it on value, while it beats Rivals of Aether II ($29.99, scores 46).
Of the 800 Steam-purchase reviews this site sampled, 12 come from buyers who refunded the game, sampled from reviews written June 2022 to August 2026. Inside the two-hour refund window, 71 percent of the 980 reviews written there were positive, against 83 percent overall, and those are 13 percent of everything written about it.

What players say
𝕋𝕙𝕖 𝕤𝕜𝕪'𝕤 𝕥𝕙𝕖 𝕝𝕚𝕞𝕚𝕥 Granblue Fantasy Versus is one of the most accessible fighting games out there without sacrificing depth. But it's not ONLY a fighting game... No no... It's a culmination of different gaming genres, that take place in the very unpopular, and underrated world of Granblue Fantasy. Visually, the game is stunning. The anime art style looks incredible in motion, with beautifully animated characters...
Granblue Fantasy: Versus is a gorgeous anime fighter with super smooth animations and a beginner-friendly system. It's easy to pick up but still has enough depth to keep you practicing combos and matchups. The RPG mode is a nice extra, though it can feel a bit grindy at times. Great entry point if you're new to fighting games.
