Hades 2 does many things better, and many things worse. My views after having completed the original with 100% achievements. This game is a lot richer than its predecessor and has many more fun mechanics and items to play around with. I also appreciate that there are two different paths, as it breaks the monotony and can be refreshing. The same goes for the open-field area in the underground. However, the top side...

Two years ago there was a low depressive period of my life where playing Hades II was the only habit and source of stability I could afford. It cradled me, gave enough comfort so I rested and recharged. 500 hours in I'm still in love, devoted, surprised with the game I love art direction I love all the little environment details I love writing I love voice acting I love how combat flows 10/10, my perfect comfort...
An absolute blast. It's nothing less than the first game, with amazing story telling, phenomenal OST (hats off to Darren Korb) and top-notch art. The gameplay feels even richer, each weapon aspect feels more distinct. Supergiant never fails to deliver. So mote it be.
