The value story
The lowest price on record is $9.99, set in August 2026. Its cuts run 30 percent off as a rule. There have been 19 in the 2 years tracked, about 5 weeks apart. Today's $11.99 at 40 percent off still sits 20 percent above the floor, so a deeper cut exists in its history.
Value puts it in the top 4 percent of the games it competes with. It is pricier than 70 percent of its genre, and better reviewed than 88 percent. Among the games that feel like it, SEUM: Speedrunners from Hell ($14.99, scores 90) beats it on value, while it beats DeadCore ($9.99, scores 58).
The math says it holds its tier up to $20.68, and you are being asked for $11.99.
5 of the 358 Steam-purchase reviews sampled here come from buyers who refunded the game, sampled from reviews written October 2024 to August 2026. Inside the two-hour refund window, 90 percent of the 204 reviews written there were positive, against 94 percent overall, and those are 23 percent of everything written about it.
Finishing takes 4.2 hours; clearing it takes 45, which is 11 times the campaign.
Valve rates it Steam Deck Verified, and at 4.2 hours it is short enough to finish on one.

This is some of the most fun combat i've ever seen in a good while. The devs are definitely fans of Dark Messiah and it shows. Price is a bit steep though, not worth it. Wait for a sale. Update: might be a skill issue on my part, but trying to get around in the later levels is downright infuriating. Still recommend it tho, as the workshop has some fun player made levels and a level editor that it's pretty easy to...
Insanely Goated game. I'll never get tired of well timed pogo's and powerful ground smashes.
The movement tech in this game is insane, it is so much fun. The combat is also very satisfying and feels great. My only gripe is that the game seems small for the gameplay it offers, it has the potential to be a full story driven campaign. At first I thought the levels were training leading up to something but realized the levels were the game. Still very fun regardless.
