G String is a complicated game for me, there are a lot of things I can complain about that would give this game a bad review from me: The gameplay is claustrophobic and repetitive, the level design is amateurish, the lore and worldbuilding are derivative, the puzzles are simple and not well implemented, a couple of assets clash, the game drags on and can overstay its welcome, the AI and combat lifted from HL2...
Hidden Gem, worldbuilding and artstyle is great, delivers interessting level design. Very detailed and komplex levels. The cons so far: there is no clear goal story wise and sometimes it is difficult to find out where to go. There are some parkour elements that may be tricky for some. edit: the fireball mechanic doesn't see much use in the game and isn't very usefull in general
I really wanted to like this game. I love golden era Source2 games like this, and in many ways it scratched the itch. But I can't recommend it because of how repetitive the environments are. I'm 12 hours in and it's just endless crawling around under a city. I yearned for a change of pace and environment, which so far I've only seen blips of before heading back into the under city.
