The detailed, satisfying house-building and bizarrely specific skill tree gave me some genuinely enjoyable moments. However, getting to them meant fighting the game's bugs, bad performance, clunky movement, forced progression, and especially its broken control scheme. Decided to pick this game up again because of the new event and I was reminded why I sat it down in the first place. The game is buggy in the weirdest ways and the level designs feel like an afterthought. I spent 20 minutes looking for a pressure washer only to find out that I needed to restart all of my work in a level because it simply didn't load when I launched the level. Then in the next level I decided to try...
It seemed like a nice premise and I was enjoying it at first, but the more I played the more I saw inconsistent design, buggy interactions and poorly scripted notifications. I was going to try to finish it but I lost all interest, especially in trying to go for any of the speed achievements.
