The value story
It has never been cheaper than $7.99. That was April 2026. 31 discounts in the 3 years on record. They run about 50 percent off, roughly 4 weeks apart. $6.37 is what it would take to make this a BANGER, and nothing in its history goes that low.
On value it sits in the top 7 percent of its genre. It is pricier than 89 percent of its genre, and better reviewed than 96 percent. Among the games that feel like it, DISTRAINT 2 ($8.99, scores 67) beats it on value, while it beats VirtuaVerse ($14.99, scores 53).
Of the 300 Steam-purchase reviews this site sampled, 3 come from buyers who refunded the game, sampled from reviews written April 2024 to August 2026. Inside the two-hour refund window, 69 percent of the 118 reviews written there were positive, against 94 percent overall, and those are 4 percent of everything written about it.
Valve rates it Steam Deck Verified, and at 6.6 hours it is short enough to finish on one.

What players say
I am just the biggest fan of everything this developer makes! Call of the Sea was one of the best, most emotional game I've played, and it was so nice to have a sequel in Call of the Elder Gods. This was a different vibe, for sure. However, I still had a lot of fun playing it! I will be following to see what they create next!
American Arcadia takes The Truman Show, adds buttons, puzzles, and a healthy dose of paranoia, then turns it into an indie thriller you definitely don't want to miss.
