Wish-granting Mermaid’s Tears in the hands of SpongeBob and Patrick… What could go wrong? Sure, the very fabric holding the universe together could come undone, opening portals into wild Wishworlds. But that’s nothing our favorite sponge can’t handle- with the right cosmic costume!

The value story
It has never been cheaper than $7.99. That was April 2026. It has been discounted 30 times in the 4 years tracked here, typically at 67 percent off, with about 6 weeks between sales. No sale on record has reached $5.54, the price it would take to be a BANGER.
Against its own genre it lands in the top 1 percent on value. It is pricier than 99 percent of its genre, and better reviewed than 97 percent. Among the games that feel like it, TY the Tasmanian Tiger ($14.99, scores 81) beats it on value, while it beats Crash Bandicoot™ N. Sane Trilogy ($39.99, scores 65).
Steam's global achievement data puts about 8 percent of players at this game's ending achievement. On a 7.1-hour game, the hours short of it still count in its price per hour. Of the 538 Steam-purchase reviews this site sampled, 9 come from buyers who refunded the game, sampled from reviews written January 2023 to August 2026. Inside the two-hour refund window, 85 percent of the 362 reviews written there were positive, against 92 percent overall, and those are 12 percent of everything written about it.
The main story runs 7.1 hours. Doing everything runs 15, 2.0 times as long.
At 7.1 hours it is a handheld-sized game, and Valve rates it Deck Verified.

What players say
The dev team didn't really understand what made Battle For Bikini Bottom fun. This is way more linear, less polished, janky and it lacks the juice and the fun of BFBB.
I tried to start this back in November of 2024, played thru the first level, got bored, and then never touched it for almost 2 years. Honestly, this game is just ok. It's missing a lot of what made Battle for Bikini Bottom (BfBB) special. Moveset is severely limited, combat feels monotonous and the amount of them is excessive, music is just ok, story is nothing special, and so on. Level design is ok, though it feels...
Even tho this game is not as memorable as Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated, I still like this game, because i'm a big fan of 3d platformers and spongebob game. so it's a perfect my go-to play game. There are some lacking in QOL compared to the previous game, also some game breaking glitch. Some areas and moments in this game doesn't feel too memorable. This is still a fun game 8.6/10
