The value story
December 2025 is where it bottomed out, at $8.49. 18 discounts in the 2 years on record. They run about 40 percent off, roughly 7 weeks apart.
It is pricier than 94 percent of its genre, and less well reviewed than 98 percent. The games it most resembles do better on the same math. Welcome to the Game ($4.99, scores 67) and Lucius II ($19.99, scores 8) both outscore it.
Of the 800 Steam-purchase reviews this site sampled, 23 come from buyers who refunded the game, sampled from reviews written June 2024 to August 2026. That is more refunded reviewers than 9 in 10 paid games this site has sampled to the same depth, and among the 2,725 games in its genre sampled this deeply, 226 have a larger share. The typical game sits near 5 in 1,000, so the score docks it. 5 of the 23 refunded reviewers were past Valve's two-hour window when they wrote the review. Inside the two-hour refund window, 33 percent of the 243 reviews written there were positive, against 52 percent overall, and those are 18 percent of everything written about it.

What players say
This is somewhat a twister but a beautiful cliff hanger. The only problem is play time... I finished the story mode in about 4 hours. Would like it to be longer. 7/10
I love love loved this game!!! I would play it again and again, even though I hit both endings and was a little disappointed as it doesn't seem to have "closure." However, I got to "trigger" an alternative ending and, even though it shortened the game some, and still didn't have the closure I was looking for, it still really fit the story really well. Call me crazy, but I am intrigued by anatomy & physiology and I...
the story mode is decent. the autopsy only mode seems bugged. or not well-designed enough. I'm keep getting wrong answer and it don't even explain why it wrong.
