I loved the story and the playthrough. The battles got a little repetitive but I stuck around and the ending was very cool.

Enjoyable game. I like the dark fantasy world created here and the variety of units and tactics is impressive; eventually. The early game suffered from too few options and companion characters that are not strong enough to fight some of the more basic enemies. By the final act; however, my team could crush all enemies without too much difficulty. I am interested enough to check out the sequel eventually.
So... Disciples. A long-suffering franchise with great ideas and questionable developers. A good story? Average. A great idea? Yes. True to the canon of the second game? Yes. Is it worth playing? Debatable. For those who prefer a short rating: it's a 7 out of 10. No more, no less. As for a long one... I played Liberation when it first came out, and initially, I was charmed by the variety of factions, rich dialogue...
