The value story
It has never been cheaper than $2.99. That was February 2026. Its cuts run 67 percent off as a rule. There have been 39 in the 5 years tracked, about 6 weeks apart.
It is pricier than 97 percent of its genre, and better reviewed than 62 percent. Among the games that feel like it, Nocturnal ($16.99, scores 66) beats it on value, while it beats DEVIATOR ($4.19, scores 19).
Steam's global achievement data puts about 2 percent of players at this game's ending achievement. On a 6.7-hour game, the hours short of it still count in its price per hour. This site sampled 630 of its Steam-purchase reviews; 19 were written by buyers who refunded it, sampled from reviews written June 2021 to August 2026. That is more refunded reviewers than 8 in 10 paid games this site has sampled to the same depth, and among the 2,814 games in its genre sampled this deeply, 518 have a larger share. Inside the two-hour refund window, 61 percent of the 477 reviews written there were positive, against 76 percent overall, and those are 37 percent of everything written about it.
It carries Valve's Deck Verified rating and runs 6.7 hours, about as long as a handheld game wants to be.

I played on the second lowest difficult (squire) and it was still a very difficult game that will make you mad with many extremely difficult to dodge enemy attacks, tricky platforming sections, and bosses that can really take and give a beating. I'm not one to curse often but I did many times during this game - it's not everyday I find myself verbally questioning a plant's sexuality or a bat's parental heritage but...
This is a torture simulator of a game. My stress levels are through the roof after finishing this at Squire difficulty. It was a MISERABLE experience! The only real strenght of this game is the amazing art style, other than that it is by far the worst Capcom game I ever played. The music is also good, but repetitive. The use of equipable magic and different options of weapons is an interesting plus to a simple 2D...
