The value story
The lowest price on record is $7.49, set in June 2021. 39 discounts in the 6 years on record. They run about 30 percent off, roughly 6 weeks apart. Today it is at full price, and its last discount ended about 3 weeks ago.
On value it sits in the top 29 percent of its genre. It is pricier than 81 percent of its genre. Among the games that feel like it, Project Hospital ($24.99, scores 78) beats it on value, while it beats Founders' Fortune ($21.99, scores 36).
Steam's global achievement data puts under 1 percent of players at this game's ending achievement. On a 10-hour game, the hours short of it still count in its price per hour. 18 of the 537 Steam-purchase reviews sampled here come from buyers who refunded the game, sampled from reviews written December 2020 to August 2026. That is more refunded reviewers than 9 in 10 paid games this site has sampled to the same depth, and among the 2,725 games in its genre sampled this deeply, 292 have a larger share. The typical game sits near 5 in 1,000, so the score docks it. 2 of the 18 refunded reviewers were past Valve's two-hour window when they wrote the review. Inside the two-hour refund window, 41 percent of the 215 reviews written there were positive, against 74 percent overall, and those are 23 percent of everything written about it.
Finishing takes 10 hours; clearing it takes 50, which is 5.0 times the campaign.

What players say
I would not recommend this game if you are just a regular guy. This is one of those niche games that cater to a narrow audience that developers rarely ever create games for. I'm glad to be part of that niche audience, but I can really easily see a lot of people not having a fun time playing this game. I think a good metric would probably be how your playtime is spent on this game. You will be building your mechs 80%...
Fun game with a somewhat organic doomsday clock aspect. I did find the time pressure to be a little annoying, as you are rushed along by the time you get the largest mechs. The flexibility in loadout was good for weapons, ok for armor, and limited for ancillary. Certainly some unavoidable tradeoffs you have to make to get an optimal enough deployment to succeed. The cave / base system was cool, although by the time...
The game felt like it had it all. But the further you get into it, the more garbage it becomes. -The priority target do not work. -In a town of 10.000 people, there is only room for 1 person in school, and 2 people in the hospital. -The menues is a terrible mess of going back and forth 100 times to find what you need. -The autosave punishes you extremely hard, for trying to figure out the game, that you are forced...
