The value story
November 2025 is where it bottomed out, at $19.79. It has been discounted 22 times in the 4 years tracked here, typically at 50 percent off, with about 8 weeks between sales.
Value puts it in the top 36 percent of the games it competes with. It is pricier than 99 percent of its genre, and better reviewed than 78 percent. Among the games that feel like it, Trine 5: A Clockwork Conspiracy ($11.99, scores 71) beats it on value, while it beats Unravel Two ($19.99, scores 38).
This site sampled 772 of its Steam-purchase reviews; 36 were written by buyers who refunded it, sampled from reviews written October 2022 to August 2026. That is more refunded reviewers than 8 in 10 paid games this site has sampled to the same depth, and among the 1,656 games in its genre sampled this deeply, 106 have a larger share. Inside the two-hour refund window, 59 percent of the 529 reviews written there were positive, against 84 percent overall, and those are 19 percent of everything written about it.
Finishing takes 11.1 hours; clearing it takes 34, which is 3.1 times the campaign.
Valve rates it Steam Deck Verified, and at 11.1 hours it is short enough to finish on one.

I played Sackboy with a friend who was very important to me. We had a lot of fun playing it together, laughing, helping each other through the levels, and just enjoying the time we had. Unfortunately, we never got to finish the game. Things happened, and now I know that we will never meet again or sit down and continue where we left off. Because of that, it is difficult for me to think about Sackboy as just a game...
Adding a voice for sackboy is the worst thing they ever done also we need a port for lbg 1-3 badly
there is a lot less creativity to this game than the other lbp games. There is no stickers, moons and everything looks stitched other than having weird objects with a brain and called it a day. They didn't add stephen fry for this game or called the narrator. the only character they added from all the other lbp games is zom zom. there isnt any layer swapping and thats just a minor. I will still play the game but it...
