Minimum on the Steam store: 512 MB of memory, Pixel Shader 3 Graphics Card with 256 MB VRAM (Geforce 6800 or ATI X1600), 5 GB of storage. Runs on Windows, macOS.

Inspired by the fascinating story and unbreakable spirit of British secret agent Violette Szabo, players take control of Violette Summer, a beautiful World War II spy deep behind enemy lines with no support or official backing from the British Government.

What drives the score

How to read this

Every input gets a grade, S to D, read from the buyer's side. The score is multiplicative, so an input only counts as raising when it sits near the top of its own scale. Anything with real room left is holding the score back, because that room is the gap to 100. ▲ marks a lift, ▼ a drag or a dock, ? an input we do not have, • a fact this genre's score does not use. The exact weights stay secret.

The value story

It has never been cheaper than $0.49. That was June 2014. 95 discounts in the 14 years on record. They run about 80 percent off, roughly 6 weeks apart. Today it is at full price. The last sale was about 13 weeks ago, and on this game's rhythm the next one tends to arrive within 6 weeks.

It is cheaper than 68 percent of its genre, and less well reviewed than 84 percent. On the same math Assassin's Creed Valhalla ($11.99, scores 24) and Assassin's Creed® Syndicate ($5.99, scores 57) are the better buys, and they are the games it most resembles.

This site sampled 441 of its Steam-purchase reviews; 4 were written by buyers who refunded it, sampled from reviews written April 2020 to September 2026. Inside the two-hour refund window, 41 percent of the 966 reviews written there were positive, against 62 percent overall, and those are 47 percent of everything written about it.

What players say

First, ignore reviews of those saying they can't install the game "so it's bad", they're LAZY. Open the community tab and just look at the first post, It will tell you how, READ. Second, the positive reviews are either paid or checked out of life, cuz this game is the WORSE stealth game in this reality... (For now) Also I got this game around 2012 for like .85c... even on sell it's a waste if money. THEY NEED TO...

A very dumbed-down Splinter Cell, but set during WWII. -No parkour. -Unfair level design that often forces you into combat. -Questionable game mechanics. Like, what do you mean I have to find a weapon when I literally just walked past multiple guns? The game is based on Violette Szabo, so if you're a WWII history geek, you'll probably appreciate that it shines a light on her story. But the ending... oof. I didn't...

I remember this game being tedious and boring, but it's pretty fun with the enhanced edition mod on ModDB. It makes some changes I don't like though, including outfit textures, so even that I had to tweak myself (Which is easy. The game is surprisingly simple to customize in the files). I like the presentation. The skyboxes and lighting are still pretty to look at, and the stealth kill animations are really well...

The BANG Score is one number for value, 0 to 100: price against how it reviews and how long it was built to be. It answers the money question and stops there; whether the game is for you is still your call.

Reviews set the ceiling and price moves you inside it, so a cheap game that reviews badly cannot climb. Ratings from few reviewers are shrunk toward the middle, so 100 percent from nine people does not outrank 96 percent from ninety thousand. Length comes from HowLongToBeat where it can be matched, measured against a per-genre floor so a five-hour narrative game is judged against other narrative games rather than against a sixty-hour RPG. Where no verified length exists the score says so and carries a dock, because the biggest input is then a guess. The full method, including where it is weak → Steam reviews as of Sep 3, price as of Sep 24.
