The value story
November 2023 is where it bottomed out, at $9.89. It has been discounted 33 times in the 4 years tracked here, typically at 50 percent off, with about 5 weeks between sales. Today it is at full price, and its last discount ended about 4 weeks ago.
Value puts it in the top 12 percent of the games it competes with. It is pricier than 84 percent of its genre, and better reviewed than 86 percent. Among the games that feel like it, Redout: Enhanced Edition ($19.99, scores 64) beats it on value, while it beats Disney Speedstorm (free, scores 16).
This site sampled 503 of its Steam-purchase reviews; 6 were written by buyers who refunded it, sampled from reviews written June 2022 to August 2026. Inside the two-hour refund window, 68 percent of the 226 reviews written there were positive, against 83 percent overall, and those are 20 percent of everything written about it.
It carries Valve's Deck Verified rating, which is the one that means it just works.

What players say
I finished Redout 2 on the Epic Games Store. Then I bought it again on Steam, on sale, with all the DLC. I'm back in it with only 6 hours, so that is why. This is a finished-game review. I never owned the DLC on Epic, and I wanted another run with the additional content. Most racing games are low on my list. When Need for Speed was the big racing game, I never enjoyed it much. Wipeout was different. It was fast...
This Game is many things and stirs many feelings with in me not just as a fan of the original Redout, but also a lover of racing games and AG Racers as a whole. As a sequel it does a terrible job at being a continuation of the gameplay and design philosophies. This game does not play anything like how Redout 1 does and does not even attempt to invoke the same sorta enjoyment that Redout 1 does. It's it's own...
Gameplay loop involves repeating a track over and over until you can win it. Upgrades feel meaningless. Absolutely stunning and racing feels amazing. IF tracks were visually intuitive I'd reccomend but currently the only way to compete with the ai is learn threw experiance. Not for me.
