What players say
Great indie tactics game, Brutal mode was brutal...but also well thought out and a lot of fun. Looking forward to TWR 2!
Those Who Rule is deceptively fun. At first, it seems like a pretty simple tactical RPG. Move your units, attack enemies, use abilities, capture territory, repeat. The systems are easy to pick up, and the early battles are genuinely relaxing in that "I understand what I'm doing" kind of way. You get popups and hand-holding. Permadeath is on hold even if you selected it for the first chapters. Then the game decides...
Great game for tactical RPG fans, especially fire emblem fans. Thematically it feels just like Path of Radiance, but the gameplay changes are enough to make it feel fresh.
