The value story
December 2024 is where it bottomed out, at $5.99. It has been discounted 31 times in the 3 years tracked here, typically at 80 percent off, with about 5 weeks between sales. Today's $11.99 at 80 percent off still sits 100 percent above the floor, so a deeper cut exists in its history.
It is pricier than 99 percent of its genre, and less well reviewed than 96 percent. Mechabellum ($8.99, scores 49) outscores it, and so does March of Empires (free, scores 9). Both sit among its closest neighbours.
This site sampled 800 of its Steam-purchase reviews; 34 were written by buyers who refunded it, sampled from reviews written December 2023 to August 2026. That is more refunded reviewers than 9 in 10 paid games this site has sampled to the same depth, and among the 651 games in its genre sampled this deeply, 71 have a larger share. The typical game sits near 5 in 1,000, so the score docks it. 7 of the 34 refunded reviewers were past Valve's two-hour window when they wrote the review. Inside the two-hour refund window, 34 percent of the 423 reviews written there were positive, against 52 percent overall, and those are 23 percent of everything written about it.
At 13.2 hours it is a handheld-sized game, and Valve rates it Deck Verified.

Game is OK, but fairly dead as far as mulitplayer servers go. Game was (at least it seems) pretty much abandoned by the developers, as well, yet to my knowledge there is no modding community, at least here on Steam. $60 US is WAY too much to be asking for this game, let alone the $75 Ultimate Edition. Get it on sale, or you wasted your money. I have the ULTIMATE EDITION but tbh, it doesn't feel "ultimate"...
Bad strategy game. Great visuals, good artwork, fun to watch the fighting. Enemies come from any and every direction randomly. There's really not much strategy involved in this game. Coming from actual RTS games like SC or WC3, this game is trash. Want an RTS that makes sense but WH flavor? Play Dawn of War or Total War. This game was done wrong.
Honestly, I enjoyed it. I think a big part of the negativity is justifying the price because there's no reason why the game should've been priced at $60, and I agree with that, it should've been $40 at the most. That being said, and separating its nonsensical pricing, there's a solid RTS game with a good foundation here as well as amazing graphics, cutscenes, voice actors, models, texturers, and a semi-compelling...
