The value story
The lowest price on record is $14.99, set in June 2025. Its cuts run 60 percent off as a rule. There have been 28 in the 4 years tracked, about 6 weeks apart. Today's $15.99 at 60 percent off still sits 7 percent above the floor, so a deeper cut exists in its history.
Take the discount away and it is a 37. With it, 46.
Against its own genre it lands in the top 46 percent on value. It is pricier than 92 percent of its genre. Fallout: New Vegas ($9.99, scores 92) outscores it, and so does Fallout 4 ($19.99, scores 54). Both sit among its closest neighbours.
Steam's global achievement data puts about 19 percent of players at this game's ending achievement. On a 17.6-hour game, the hours short of it still count in its price per hour. 8 of the 800 Steam-purchase reviews sampled here come from buyers who refunded the game, sampled from reviews written March 2023 to August 2026. Inside the two-hour refund window, 31 percent of the 422 reviews written there were positive, against 76 percent overall, and those are 15 percent of everything written about it.
17.6 hours to finish it, 61 to exhaust it. The completionist tail is 3.5 times the campaign.

What players say
The game seldom asks anything of the player other than their time. Gunplay amounts to repeatedly clicking on the enemies until the combat encounter is over. The world is full of unlikeable uninteresting characters (with a few exceptions) largely because the world wants to be a farce, and it's just about impossible to be a farce and be genuine at the same time. Exploration involves walking around from waypoint to...
Really tried to like it but I just found it bland and boring. We get it, capitalism is bad, but so are this game's graphics, gunplay, exploration (or lack of) and dialouge. The game is repetitive, unpolished and just shallow. Avoid at full price and only play if you have the time to spare. This is no Fallout NV
Obsidian fixed the remaster this year. Better QoL and expanded leveling makes it more than a decent choice even if it's not the best choice.
