I don't know who funded a campaign to review bomb this delightfully stress inducing nightmare of a game but kudos, you're all ridiculous. Common complaints: It's a 3 act rogue like It's Slay the Spire in the DD universe I don't know what I'm doing and that sucks I don't like the meta-progression, I want my hamlet progression The reality: DD2 feels very similar to DD1, the game expands on the setting, stellar combat...
It's taken me more than a handful of attempts to get into DD2, and at this point I can't NOT recommend it. I can now tell there was a lot of effort and love put into this game. The animations, art, lore, combat, narration, sounds, it's all so well done. There's quality around every corner, and it's so refreshing. It also makes me want to tear my hair out sometimes, but that's just part of it. Without some friction...
If Darkest Dungeon 1 is C&B torture, Darkest Dungeon 2 is C&B torture but the Mistress doesn't even pretend to like you.
