The value story
The lowest price on record is $1.49, set in March 2024. Its cuts run 33 percent off as a rule. There have been 13 in the 4 years tracked, about 14 weeks apart. Today's $2.09 at 30 percent off still sits 40 percent above the floor, so a deeper cut exists in its history.
This sale is doing real work. 84 at list, 91 today.
On value it sits in the top 1 percent of its genre. It is cheaper than 79 percent of its genre, and better reviewed than 99 percent. The nearest things to it, Tinykin ($24.99, scores 64) and Here Comes Niko! ($24.99, scores 54), are both worse buys on this math.
This site sampled 374 of its Steam-purchase reviews; 6 were written by buyers who refunded it, sampled from reviews written December 2022 to August 2026. Inside the two-hour refund window, 96 percent of the 1,456 reviews written there were positive, against 96 percent overall, and those are 81 percent of everything written about it.
It carries Valve's Deck Verified rating and runs 0.9 hours, about as long as a handheld game wants to be.
What players say
Played this a couple years ago when it first came out, it was great. Good level design, varied atmosphere, tasteful music, and fun secrets. Definitely feeds my nostalgia for the N64. Just finished replaying the game after the Doomsday update, and it's still great. The time trial challenges were tough but fair, and you even get a little bonus for doing all 6. The Doomsday content itself? A nice treat. Would play it...
It's empty. There is nothing here. No story, no obstacles, no enemies, no puzzles and no challenge. Just an empty gameworld with a handful of things to collect. The levels are so frictionless it feels more like a racing game.
