The value story
July 2025 is where it bottomed out, at $4.99. 32 discounts in the 4 years on record. They run about 50 percent off, roughly 6 weeks apart. Today's $12.49 at 50 percent off still sits 150 percent above the floor, so a deeper cut exists in its history.
At full price it scores 76. The current cut is what makes it a 78.
Against its own genre it lands in the top 2 percent on value. It is pricier than 95 percent of its genre, and better reviewed than 88 percent. Among the games that feel like it, Kindergarten ($4.99, scores 91) beats it on value, while it beats Gray Dawn ($19.99, scores 46).
Steam's global achievement data puts 34 percent of players at this game's ending achievement. The median game this site can measure sits at 15. Of the 533 Steam-purchase reviews this site sampled, 5 come from buyers who refunded the game, sampled from reviews written October 2022 to August 2026. Inside the two-hour refund window, 87 percent of the 133 reviews written there were positive, against 88 percent overall, and those are 7 percent of everything written about it.
It carries Valve's Deck Verified rating, which is the one that means it just works.

This former title being one of a big name and following, I was always curious about it and bought the entire series bundle when on sale, and finally decided to start checking them out. As per a fan guide, Chaos Head should be tackled first, and so, I did. I...
very good. go in with an open mind or else you won't really enjoy it. also pls play with CoZ patch.
Great game. I would recommend to murder mystery fans as long as they're familiar with otaku culture. Protagonist is an absolute cringelord but a great character. Very much enjoyed him.
