The value story

The lowest price on record is $9.99, set in December 2024. It has been discounted 45 times in the 4 years tracked here, typically at 40 percent off, with about 5 weeks between sales. Today it is at full price, and its last discount ended about 4 weeks ago.

Against its own genre it lands in the top 1 percent on value. It is pricier than 90 percent of its genre, and better reviewed than 93 percent. Among the games that feel like it, Raft ($19.99, scores 89) beats it on value, while it beats Astro Colony ($19.99, scores 51).

Of the 525 Steam-purchase reviews this site sampled, 15 come from buyers who refunded the game, sampled from reviews written May 2022 to August 2026. Inside the two-hour refund window, 60 percent of the 182 reviews written there were positive, against 88 percent overall, and those are 10 percent of everything written about it.

Awesome game. Boots-on-the-ground perspective of army management. Basically a version of Bannerlord where you're in the camp with your troops. You build forts & outposts, and manage the individual troops in your legion. Logistics management with currency, food, and supplies where you can get resources from engaging in different fights. Some army formation/command elements - just an overall gem. Centurion from my...

I have been playing this game for a while now, and I saw that the dev has released the next Warlord game which I am very excited for, and wanted to review this one. I really love this game. It is a "cozy game" for me. It can be very hard. It's very sad to lose guys who have been with you from the moment you first landed on the island. cool idea fun game building is a bit convoluted and unclear where you are placing, fighting is ok the legion troops are too weak and few in the early game extremely difficult but that first raid i got WTF I was getting 75 men raids at the start, what is wrong with this game way to many early on completely destroys any fun and progress I make as they send another soon after. The taking of settlements needs more...
