Now this is a point-and-click that anyone can enjoy. The items are collected sequentially and they all serve a purpose, the levels are easily explorable, and the riddles are self-contained, with visual and audio hints, rewarding a keen eye -but not pixel hunting- and good feedback from NPCs. The story is entertaining and even if the game is not long, it is a nice, spooky short story.
I played Distraint and Distraint 2 before this and already really liked Jesse Makkonen's style, so I was pretty excited for Afterdream. It has the same creepy, weird, emotional vibe I enjoy from his games. Short, atmospheric, and definitely worth playing if you're into story-heavy indie horror.
