I'm not sure why, but the games I end up loving always seem to either be from the 7TH generation of gaming or take place during a dry fall or winter. This game is no exception. It gives me the exact same vibr as Dishonored 1, Mafia II, and Resident Evil 4.
The story is interesting, and the odds seem stacked high against the protagonist, which is great. But. The cut-scenes are too long and missions so short and specific (raise this ramp, clear this corridor) that it completely ruined immersion for me. Learn from Valve, play Half-Life, that's how you make an FPS. And OMG enough with the checkpoints. Give me ability to save whenever I want to save, what's wrong with you...
