This review includes the 20th anniversary surprise update. SS2 was a big letdown when it was originally released. It deviates a lot from the general real world ancient settings and biomechanoid enemies. It has been declared non canon by the devs but is it a bad game ? Able to Play this in 2026 is a blessing in itself. Seriously Man. They don't make'em like this anymore.
I don't understand how anyone who has played other Serious Sam games claims this is the worst game in the series, when it's the total opposite. Sure, the art style is awful, the story is a joke and the voice acting should have been removed altogether, buuuut - in terms of gameplay it's easily the most fun Serious Game out there. Instead of constantly running backwards like in other games, Serious Sam 2 encourages...
