It is ok, but after only a few runs I found myself wanting more variety, more options, more weapons, more ships, but its all surprisingly limited.

This was supposed to be the prequel to a fully fledged shooter game in the vein of Star Fox. Unfortunately, the developer insisted on making a lot of changes that were mostly disliked by the community, and the game kept limping along until... the studio closed down and they didn't mention this anywhere but a LinkedIn post that most users would never see. I play this game when I want to switch my brain off an blow stuff up to a nice soundtrack. The game is a bit of a slog until you upgrade your ship enough. After you beat the end boss a few times and know which upgrades are most effective, playing the game becomes far more relaxing.
