This game looks like card-strategy auto battles game and with buffs and using tactics for the troops position which is great and easy to understand. Especially the art in this game is really unique and pleasing.
Is Songs of Silence worth the asking price of 30$. The answer to that is surprisingly yes. Songs of Silence is a hidden gem, but I also understand it exists in an unusual niche. Most people play strategy games for either the large sweeping strategy or the intense tactical combat. Songs of Silence does not really have either. While lacking the large maps of games such as Warhammer 3 instead it focuses on the strategy...
This one just didn't click with me. I loved the presentation, aside from a typo here and there. I like the idea of an auto-battler-meets-total-war. But when it got down to the battles, I just couldn't find the fun. And the AI armies seemed way over-tuned for what was supposed to be a "balanced" experience. For instance, I go to break a siege, having full reserves and a full garrison - but the enemy still has about...
