It is pricier than 67 percent of its genre, and less well reviewed than 95 percent. On the same math Orbt XL ($0.59, scores 95) and Marble It Up! Ultra ($29.99, scores 71) are the better buys, and they are the games it most resembles.
More about Dr. Fetus' Mean Meat Machine
76 on Metacritic, 59 percent from players. A gap this way round is usually launch damage or a slow decline.
7 of the 319 Steam-purchase reviews sampled here come from buyers who refunded the game, sampled from reviews written June 2023 to August 2026. That is more refunded reviewers than 9 in 10 paid games this site has sampled to the same depth, and among the 2,362 games in its genre sampled this deeply, 302 have a larger share. The typical game sits near 5 in 1,000, so the score docks it. Inside the two-hour refund window, 40 percent of the 159 reviews written there were positive, against 59 percent overall, and those are 50 percent of everything written about it.
The main story runs 5.5 hours. Doing everything runs 12, 2.2 times as long.
At 5.5 hours it is a handheld-sized game, and Valve rates it Deck Verified.

What players say
I don't know, Dr. Fetus' Mean Meat Machine is a really really weird game that nobody asked for. Even so, it's still a decent and entertaining game.

I bought some bundle and this was included either for free, or very cheap. So for that price, it's an okay time waster. I don't think it's as bad as others are trying to make it look.
It truly is just not all too fun, I will however give the game props for the soundtrack and opening cutscene, the soundtrack is probably the only thing that will make me keep playing, 4/10, would not recommend even while on sale, unless you want the Dr. Fetus emote, then maybe buy it.
