The value story
September 2025 is where it bottomed out, at $19.99. It has been discounted 11 times in the 1 year tracked here, typically at 20 percent off, with about 6 weeks between sales. Today it is at full price, and its last discount ended about 3 weeks ago.
Against its own genre it lands in the top 10 percent on value. It is pricier than 95 percent of its genre, and better reviewed than 95 percent. Among the games that feel like it, The Forest ($19.99, scores 85) beats it on value, while it beats DESOLATE ($14.99, scores 19).
This site sampled 800 of its Steam-purchase reviews; 19 were written by buyers who refunded it, sampled from reviews written May 2025 to August 2026. Inside the two-hour refund window, 67 percent of the 680 reviews written there were positive, against 89 percent overall, and those are 8 percent of everything written about it.
7.9 hours to finish it, 16 to exhaust it. The completionist tail is 2.0 times the campaign.
Valve rates it Steam Deck Verified, and at 7.9 hours it is short enough to finish on one.
What players say
Over the years, we'll probably look back at this era and talk about the downfall of gaming. Sometimes I sit down and genuinely wonder, what the hell happened to games? Then something like this one comes along and completely changes my perspective. I only have about 3 hours in, but I'm already completely hooked. I'm not gonna say anything about the game itself because I don't want to spoil it for you, but it reminded...
In my opinion, this game is perfect and meets all my expectations of a game; from the demo onwards, I knew I'd spend hours playing it, and I really don't regret buying it before its release. I love creating a little world for everyone, and I've grown attached to them all; I love bringing them to life in my head and making the game even harder because I'm too sensitive and I need to try and save everyone, only to end...
I don't usually make reviews but this game deserves a good review, full of content and things to do there is a lot of different outcomes that keeps the game fresh. I'm excited to see the achievement system they add and possible completion rewards on certain characters would be nice. Overall very happy with this game.
