Ever since I played the demo of Papo & Yo on my PS3 when I was around 7 years old, I never understood the true significance this game has to another person. Easily has become one of my favorite games of all time and I am astonished of the experience I had.
My goodness! I never thought that there would be a puzzle platformer better than ICO. This game achieves that without a dedicated combat system. I literally would have never found this game without hunting. Papo & Yo is a literal diamond. Controls, perfect. Graphics, great for the year. Story, exceptional. Fun factor, top tier. I could not stop smiling at all while playing this. I'm speechless. It's just so good. I...
I still have the same feelings I had 13 years ago when I played this, it feels like a rough draft to something greater. In essence, it lacks stronger cohesion in its game design that similar games like ICO, Shadow of the Colossus, or even Limbo don't even struggle with, and even so, it's worth playing it at least once
