I've been going through the Dungeon Crawler Carl books and it dredged up the memory of this odd little game immediately. Absolute hidden gem metroidvania. Clearly a passion project for a solo dev who absolutely nailed it. I'm always surprised that this game doesn't come up more often in recommendation lists for this genre. Great for m+k or gamepad. Lots of replayability due to the diverse build options. About the game
Daniel was just an average guy. He was a great videogame player, a big fan of sci-fi movies, and a novice RPG player. In the midst of an RPG, he was teleported to a castle. At first, Daniel believed that he was having a massive hallucination.
