The value story

The lowest price on record is $12.49, set in December 2025. It has been discounted 18 times in the 2 years tracked here, typically at 65 percent off, with about 5 weeks between sales. Today's $12.49 at 75 percent off matches the lowest price in the record.

Take the discount away and it is a 40. With it, 61.

Value puts it in the top 6 percent of the games it competes with. It is pricier than 99 percent of its genre, and better reviewed than 92 percent. Among the games that feel like it, Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice ($7.49, scores 77) beats it on value, while it beats Through the Woods ($19.99, scores 20).

Steam's global achievement data puts about 2 percent of players at this game's ending achievement. On a 7.1-hour game, the hours short of it still count in its price per hour. This site sampled 499 of its Steam-purchase reviews; 2 were written by buyers who refunded it, sampled from reviews written February 2026 to August 2026. Inside the two-hour refund window, 72 percent of the 821 reviews written there were positive, against 87 percent overall, and those are 9 percent of everything written about it.

It carries Valve's Deck Verified rating and runs 7.1 hours, about as long as a handheld game wants to be.

Funny how we're free to walk around, Still our feet are forced to walk the ground, Even when we die, We're deeper down, Down.

Senua's Saga: Hellblade II is the only game I have ever completed more than once. That matters, because my second playthrough completely changed how I understood the game. One of the most common criticisms of Hellblade II is that it is a "walking simulator" with shallow combat and too little player agency. I understand where that impression comes from, but after playing it again I think it is an extremely unfair...

A great narrative experience where also combat phases play like a huge part of a script. The whole work feels more like a film than a game, with an incredible graphic and audio design. Like the first chapter the game is very short, but slow paced. Puzzles are less repetitive but not really inspired. I also felt like the Senua's psychosis was better represented in the first game.
