What players say
I understand this game is from 2013 and the first in the series but it has many compatibility problems. often alt tabbing leads to game magically disappearing in the background, random crashes past long runs gameplay wise i dont think its much different from risk of rain returns (aside from the new keyboard layouts) i love this game i truly do but. I think you should get this game if you want a more harder...

This game will forever have one of the best soundtracks of all time, and its only competition is it's sequel.
Even if the game is almost 14 years old, I think it's one of the best roguelike games that I've ever played. Each character has their own advantage and you can create some awesome builds; the artifacts are fun too and at last the variety of items is something else.

About the game
Risk of Rain is an action platformer with roguelike elements. With permanent death as a primary feature, players will have to play their best to get as far as possible. Fight on a mysterious planet with randomly spawning enemies and bosses, either alone or with 3 friends in online co-op.
