The value story

The lowest price on record is $6.64, set in June 2026. 18 discounts in the 2 years on record. They run about 50 percent off, roughly 6 weeks apart. Today it is at full price, and its last discount ended 2 days ago.

Against its own genre it lands in the top 21 percent on value. It is pricier than 73 percent of its genre, and better reviewed than 87 percent. Among the games that feel like it, Mortal Sin ($24.99, scores 81) beats it on value, while it beats Delver ($14.99, scores 65).

This site sampled 374 of its Steam-purchase reviews; 9 were written by buyers who refunded it, sampled from reviews written May 2024 to August 2026. Inside the two-hour refund window, 78 percent of the 203 reviews written there were positive, against 94 percent overall, and those are 17 percent of everything written about it.

HowLongToBeat players log 11 hours as a typical playtime, and completionists log 29, 2.6 times as much.

What players say

This game is hard. Achieved the first ending, and although progress through the game feels extremely rewarding (in the sense of the permanent upgrades you can get for your character) I couldn't help but notice that I was never at that perfect spot in the middle of a roguelike run in which you feel like you can push all the way to the end but you are not absolutely OP so much so that it trivializes the game. Shadow wizard money gang, the game. This game is essentially a roguelike with meta progression.... now i know what your thinking "again?" yes that genre is over saturated to all hell but blood and dream does things differently as your more getting stronger gaining knowledge then you are just raw buffing your stats. This is a game you go into blind for the best experiance.

i love this game, it was lowk skill issue at first but when i actually started to get the hang of what everything does, it easily became one of my favorite games ever
