The value story
It has never been cheaper than $24.99. That was December 2025. Its cuts run 40 percent off as a rule. There have been 15 in the 2 years tracked, about 6 weeks apart. Today it is at full price, and its last discount ended 10 days ago.
Against its own genre it lands in the top 31 percent on value. It is pricier than 99 percent of its genre, and better reviewed than 81 percent. The games it most resembles do better on the same math. Resident Evil 4 ($39.99, scores 72) and Prototype™ ($19.99, scores 49) both outscore it.
Steam's global achievement data puts 33 percent of players at this game's ending achievement. The median game this site can measure sits at 15. Of the 800 Steam-purchase reviews this site sampled, 47 come from buyers who refunded the game, sampled from reviews written September 2024 to August 2026. That is more refunded reviewers than 8 in 10 paid games this site has sampled to the same depth, and among the 2,814 games in its genre sampled this deeply, 422 have a larger share. The typical game sits near 5 in 1,000, so the score docks it. 7 of the 47 refunded reviewers were past Valve's two-hour window when they wrote the review. Inside the two-hour refund window, 52 percent of the 400 reviews written there were positive, against 80 percent overall, and those are 14 percent of everything written about it.

What players say
I actually enjoyed my time with this, but if you haven't you really should play the original one. it's better in every way by being less convenient, funnily enough. where the original is 10 out of 10, This is more like the corpse of that 10 out of 10 being puppetted around, but by a pretty okay puppeteer.
Went to a shopping mall to investigate a zombie outbreak. Accidentally spent 16 hours beating the undead with a mannequin.
This game won't stop crashing. It either crashes my entire system on startup causing crash reports or crashes just opening the map. First night I played it I got in around 5 hours of smooth gameplay. ZERO issues. Now this piece of crap is completely unstable
