I am SO glad that one of my most favorite games from the PS3/X360 era finally made it to the PC. Shadows of the Damned is a weirdly insane, stylish horror-action from the crazy mind of Suda51. With lots of references to horror movies and games, like Evil Dead and Resident Evil; nice adult humor; and loads of blood, gore, and demons. God, I miss this era of gaming so much. Yes its gameplay is pretty simple in its execution but what it does do is done exceptionally well, movement 3rd person shooting and all the extra abilities you do. You have to crank it up to the hardest difficulty as playing this with high framerates and modern controller responsiveness makes the challenge of 7th gen console disappear. I also absolutely love its style here...
An underrated gem. SOTD didn't get the attention and love it deserved when it first released though I'm hoping it finally will with this release. The game has so much personality; an unhinged wild ride from start to finish with some of the funniest (and admittedly immature) dialogue you'll hear in a game. One criticism I do have is the aim sensitivity. I think it's really high (I play on controller so I'm not sure...
