The pinnacle of alien evolution, Maw is a cowardly fat blob concerned mostly with snacking and lounging. He can, however, absorb the traits of anything he eats, is virtually indestructible, and can grow to unlimited size. If he wasn't a danger to all life in the universe, he'd make the perfect pet.

I got this sometime in 2013 as a collab with mcdonalds. kinda tells you that the game wont be crazy good quality, but its still a fun game. I still had fun reliving this goofy game with a surprisingly good soundtrack. the game is like a dollar when its on sale so don't expect much. the artstyle and character design is still top tier though. this wont be for everyone but its still worth trying. rip twisted pixel...

Kicking myself for never playing this during the XBLA golden age! Having finally got to The Maw now, it's probably the cutest and one of the most seamlessly-explained indie games on a mechanical level from that era. And, well, that's saying a LOT considering its peers were Limbo, Super Meat Boy and Trials to name a few. The Maw gets right into its premise of two vigilante aliens getting a leg up on their captors...
man, i am so sad to not recommend this. but it has a few issues. first i want to say that i love this game, it is so cute and goofy. you play as an alien girl who gets captured and team up with a little blob/slime with teeth to get free as you go around and do little things and puzzles to feed your blob to make it bigger, to help you more. gameplay is very simple. you bring your blob around to feed him the creatures...
