The game isn't good compared to modern RPGs, but the fact you're on this steam page in the first place suggests you've probably already played all the modern RPGs and are going back in time to the more obscure. The story is not engaging, there are moments where the setting seems interesting but everything is very surface level. The characters are very weirdly written, there's just not that much dialogue in general...
