While it technically falls under the umbrella of racing games, that label barely captures what it actually offers. At its core, it is a sandbox of vehicular chaos where speed, destruction, and dark humor collide...
One of the best 90's classics, works great on modern hardware with pre-installed wrapper so there's no need to install that yourself. The damage model and physics are still pretty impressive, can't really think of many games where you can mangle cars this much. Only thing that's sort of a hassle is keybinds, if you don't have a full keyboard with numpad, rebinding is a hassle with hardcoded keys like S for sound...
