The value story

It has never been cheaper than $0.50. That was April 2020. It has been discounted 94 times in the 12 years tracked here, typically at 75 percent off, with about 5 weeks between sales.

Against its own genre it lands in the top 38 percent on value. It is cheaper than 79 percent of its genre. Among the games that feel like it, Thank Goodness You're Here! ($9.99, scores 79) beats it on value, while it beats Through Abandoned: The Underground City ($5.99, scores 36).

Steam's global achievement data puts about 13 percent of players at this game's ending achievement. On a 0.7-hour game, the hours short of it still count in its price per hour. Inside the two-hour refund window, 76 percent of the 244 reviews written there were positive, against 76 percent overall, and those are 71 percent of everything written about it.

Finishing takes 0.7 hours; clearing it takes 2, which is 2.1 times the campaign.

What players say

It's a clever concept, but it doesn't really deliver. The levels wouldn't actually work going forwards, which undermines the design. There's a speedrun timer despite the character auto-running at fixed speed. Most frustratingly, the game will fail to recognize the jump input fairly frequently, which is a cardinal sin in a platformer.
