Narrative exploration game located in a massive, post-human Western Washington. Navigate an open world that has been reclaimed by nature. Use journals, letters, zines, and other documents to learn the interconnected stories of the people who lived here once.

Cascadia minus the scolding SWPLs, fentanyl-feral urbanites, and heathen Cathayan landlords, rendered in pointillist minimalism. Survival is a bare-bones box-ticking exercise, so the real red meat is ambling about for readables, which are all genuinely well-written. It's really hard to review Eidolon. It's a relatively horrible gameplay, wrapped into an intriguing/immersive atmosphere, dotted with some excellent writing and environmental storytelling. It is memorable. My mind keeps returning to it 2 years after I played it last. It's a game that opens up to you... One other user commented you get out of it what you put into, that's true. It's like a relationship, not presented...
while the reviews do state plainly that this is a walking simulator I assumed that like everyone on the internet they where just too stuffy to appreciate a good experience and so I bought it anyway to try it out myself but what the reviews forget to mention is that this game was made with absolutely no thought to mechanics, art-style or world building, feeling completely unfinished and not even reaching close the...
