What players say
Amazing love letter to Metal Slug and overall great metroidvania. Good map and cool biomes to explore with great ost, sick pixel art capturing metal slugs spirit very well, tons of cool enemy types and bosses, exploration is heavily rewarded with permanent health/ammo upgrades or the potential to find better guns or character abilities. Really hope that a sequel would get a 2 player local coop just like Metal Slug...
Metal Slug, but if it was a Metroidvania. Really fun, great weapon variety, and some cool movement tech. Boss fight are unexpectedly difficult, requiring some serious pattern memorization along with a lot of luck. You can theoretically heal-spam through them, but it would take a lot of money to pay for that many healing items. Fair warning, don't try to obsessively collect all of the secrets every time you get a new...
This game is a delight, I've been after a meaty, not short metroidvania for a while and this has certainly delivered. The art style and Music has been a breath of fresh air. Love it a lot
