I installed OTTTD for a quick tower defense session. A big mistake on my end. Now I'm emotionally invested in defending Earth from aliens, robots, monsters, and what I'm pretty sure was a cosmic squid at some point. The art style is amazing ,it looks like a Saturday morning cartoon that accidentally wandered into a war zone. And yes… there is grind. OTTTD is a loud, energetic, and deliberately excessive take on the tower defense genre developed and published by SMG Studio, and it fully commits to its subtitle, "Over The Top Tower Defence," in both tone and mechanics. Rather than offering a slow, purely strategic experience built around passive observation, the game injects constant activity, humor, and RPG-style progression into every mission. From the outset...
If you like tower defence games, you will love this one! Just keep in mind that difficulty is increasing significantly with each level, so every round is a new challenge. Your super dooper troops, which were once able to reduce enemy forces to dust, will be wiped out unless you bring them more upgrades.
