My personal essay on Clannad I've never been more indulgent with a game, or consistently made as much time for one as I have with Clannad. This game has changed me in ways I'm still trying to understand, it really has. I've made time to sit down and play it every day, and I only mention this because I've been wanting to make my life a busier one. In a way, I think this game has motivated me to make more room for fun...

The premise and setting seems fairly mundane, but the game manages to do a lot with it. The characters are well-written and memorable, and the soundtrack is very good. As a visual novel with multiple routes, it lends itself well to being played over a longer period of time, with each route being good enough to stand on its own as a complete story.
